    ONGC contracts 3D seismic survey offshore western India

    BERGEN, Norway – ONGC has awarded Shearwater GeoServices a four-month, 3D broadband marine seismic survey over a shallow-water area of the Arabian Sea.

    The program, due to start in the current quarter, will cover an area of 2,000 sq km (772 sq mi).

    It follows another award from the same operator last month for a combined 2D/3D broadband marine seismic survey off India’s east coast.
