Energean has awarded all major contracts for its Katlan gas-condensate development offshore Israel, the company said in a Sept. 11 results statement.

The subsea cluster tieback to the Energean Power FPSO is due to deliver first gas during first-half 2027.

Next year, Saipem will start the development drilling campaign that includes the Athena and Zeus production wells with options for two additional wells.

NOV has the contract for the upgrade of the Energean Power topsides concerning methanol and mono-ethylene glycol treatment, injection and storage.

In the Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt, discussions with the authorities are progressing on merging Energean’s three production concessions—Abu Qir, NEA and NI—into a single concession. The goals are to improve the commercial and fiscal conditions, open further new development and exploration opportunities, and extend the economic life of the field.

In July, Energean submitted a work program amendment for its proposed Vega West development offshore Sicily. The plan is to develop ~10 MMbbl of oil in the first phase, followed by a further 23 MMbbl under the full development scenario.

Production at the Rospo Mare Field offshore Abruzzo in the Adriatic Sea should resume in October at 2,000 bbl/d. The field had been shut in following a fire incident in January.  The facilities comprise the RSMA, RSMB and RSMC platforms and the FSO Alba Marina.

Finally, Energean completed P&A campaigns earlier this summer at the Wenlock and Garrow fields in the UK southern North Sea. The current Kilmar well P&A work should finish this month.
