Hess expects Yellowtail, the fourth and largest oil development on the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana, to start operations this summer, with an initial production capacity of about 250,000 bbl/d.

The newbuild ONE GUYANA FPSO reached offshore Guyana on April 15. Uaru, the block’s fifth development with a production capacity close to 250,000 bbl/d, should be the next online in 2026.

After that, Whiptail, which was sanctioned in April 2024, should go onstream in 2027 (250,000 bbl/d).

ExxonMobil submitted its plan for the seventh field development, Hammerhead, to the government of Guyana in March. This FPSO’s planned capacity will be lower at about 150,000 bbl/d, with first production expected in 2029.
