PARIS/HOUSTON – CNOOC has awarded TechnipFMC a subsea contract for the Liuhua 16-2, 20-2, and 21-2 oilfield joint development project in the South China Sea.
Water depths range from 380-430 m (1,247-1,411 ft).
The scope covers engineering, procurement, and construction of 26 enhanced horizontal christmas trees and associated wellheads, subsea control systems, manifolds, tie-in systems, and intervention workover control systems.
In addition, TechnipFMC will provide support services for the installation and commissioning and a local services support base in China.
Hallvard Hasselknippe, president of TechnipFMC’s Subsea business, said this was one of the largest subsea production systems contracts awarded this year throughout the industry.
