DNV GL approves design of offshore Israel FPSO

ATHENS, GreeceEnergean Oil & Gas has secured Class approval from DNV GL for the basic design of the newbuild FPSO that will serve the deepwater Karish and Tanin gas development in the Israeli sector of the Mediterranean Sea.

Early Class approval, the company said, validates its strategy of building on an existing hull design fromTechnipFMC subsidiary, Inocean.

The project remains on track for the cutting of first steel prior to the end of 2018.
