MALTON, UK – Swinton Technology has supplied a metering package for the new bridge-linked platform (BLP) connected to the existing Montrose Alpha platform in the UK central North Sea.
Recently operatorRepsol Sinopec Resources started production from the Shaw field that is part of the wider Montrose Area Redevelopment (MAR) program.
The BLP provides additional process and plant support to MAR.
Swinton’s system used 15 Emerson S600 flow computers connected to a redundant metering supervisory computer.
It is said to be fully integrated with existing control room data systems and gas chromatographs, fully HART-compliant, and combining fiscal oil metering, gas metering, and allocation metering.
In addition, the company installed and commissioned the system, which had been pre-tested during the dry dock stage.
