PARIS -- Petrobras has awarded Technip a $150-million contract for the development of the Roncador field offshore Brazil.
The Roncador P-54 project consists of eleven production and six water injection subsea wells at water depths to 1,740 m (5,709 ft). The wells are tied back to theP-54 FPSO, which is anchored in 1,400 m (4,593 ft) of water.
Technip will perform the engineering, project management, manufacturing, and testing of:
• 6 types of flexible pipes:
• 11 production flowlines
• 11 gas lift flowlines,
• 6 water injection flowlines
• 11 production risers
• 11 gas lift risers
• 6 water injection risers.
Technip's operations and engineering center in Rio de Janeiro will execute the engineering and the project management. The group's plant in Vitória will manufacture the 142 km (88 mi) of flexible pipe.
Technip and its partners are executing two other contracts for the development of the Roncador field. One covers the engineering and construction of theP-52 semisubmersible platform. The other covers the design, manufacturing, and installation of the tiebacks.
