PARIS -- Talisman Energy (UK) has awarded Technip two lump-sum engineering, procurement, and installation contracts for the development of the Auk North and Burghley fields. The fields will tieback to Talisman’s Fulmar A platform and the Premier Oil-operated floating production vessel Balmoral, respectively.

The Auk North contract covers fabrication and installation of a production pipeline, and installation of umbilical, power cable, and subsea equipment.

The Burghley contract covers fabrication and installation of a production pipeline and a gas lift pipeline, as well as installation of an umbilical and subsea structures.

Both contracts include pre-commissioning and commissioning support.

Technip’s operating center in Aberdeen, UK, will execute the contracts. Pipelines will be welded at the company’s spoolbase in Evanton, UK.

Offshore work is scheduled to begin in the second quarter using Technip’s diving support vessel Orelia and pipelay vessel Apache II.
