TEL AVIV -- Delek Group, one of the partners in the deepwater Tamar gas field development offshore Israel, plans to examine the recommendations of a new report on the project.

The draft publication issued by the Shishinsky Committee contains negative implications, according to Delek, concerning Tamar’s financing and development, based on the original plan submitted by operator Noble Energy.

Delek considers the recommendations unacceptable, and plans to act in the framework of a hearing before the committee.

The company wants further measures to be adopted within the government and the Israeli Parliament to change the recommendations, with a view to continuing the development according to the original plan, and also to continue the exploration activities in the licenses in which the company's subsidiaries Delek Drilling and Avner are partners.
