Iran working on enhancements for four offshore fields

Iranian Offshore Oil Co. plans to award various domestic companies production enhancement and maintenance programs for four offshore oil fields in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Offshore Oil Co. (IOOC) plans to award various domestic companies production enhancement and maintenance programs for four offshore oil fields in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

The National Iranian Oil Co. has drawn up 33 oil production enhancement and maintenance projects of which four are focused on the offshore fields including Siri, Forouzan, Resalat, and Reshadat.

Petroiran Co. will provide services for the Siri project (including theSivand and Esfand areas).

IOOC is in talks with Khatam-al Anbiya Construction on developing the Reshadat oilfield.

The contractor for the Forouzan oilfield project should be appointed within the next six months.

IOOC will manage all four projects at a cost more than $800 million and will deploy new offshore drilling rigs on the fields.
