TEHRAN -- NIOC subsidiary Petropars expects to sign a $5.6-billion contract early next month for development of phases 27 and 28 of the South Pars gas field.

According to Petropars CEO Gholamreza Manouchehri, the two phases should produce 2 bcf/d of natural gas and around 80,000 b/d of condensate.

NIOC would also commit finance to this project, he added, in comments quoted by Iran’s Petroenergy Information Network, Shana.
