Chevron contracts Emerson for control valves, subsea meters for Gorgon

AUSTIN, Texas – Chevron Australia Pty Ltd. has contracted Emerson Process Management to supply control valves and actuators for the Gorgon LNG Project offshore Western Australia.

The $67-million purchase includes Roxar subsea wet gas meters in addition to more than 1,000 control valves, actuators, and controllers.

TheGorgon Project is operated by Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (47.3%), and includes partners ExxonMobil (25%), Shell (25%), Osaka Gas (1.25%), Tokyo Gas (1%), and Chubu Electric Power (0.417%).
