TRONDHEIM, Norway – Aker BP says the Johan Sverdrup project in the Norwegian North Sea is progressing according to plan with pre-drilling of wells and facilities construction.

Capex estimates continue to come down, with a break-even oil price for Phase one of the project now estimated at less than $25/bbl.

In August, the company discovered oil at theLangfjellet prospect and a second side track is currently drilling. Aker BP assesses volumes at this stage in the range of 24-74 MMboe.
