LIVINGSTON, UK– Dana Petroleum has contracted Asset Guardian Solutions to implement its Asset Guardian software on the Triton FPSO in the UK central North Sea.

The process-related software and data will be stored in one central repository, the aim being to improve workflow and reduce risk. In the event of a system failure, Asset Guardian is said to speed recovery of software and data, reducing the potential impact on production.

Asset Guardian engineers have visited the FPSO to gather existing process control software files and load this information into their software.

In addition, the company is providing AGSync software which allows data and files to be synchronized between multiple onshore and offshore locations, maintaining integrity of information even when communications links are disrupted.
