SAN FERNANDO, Trinidad — Petrofac has started work on a screening study for Trinity Exploration & Production concerning further development of the Galeota Block offshore East Coast Trinidad.
The concession holds estimated 2P+2C reserves and resources of 46.1 MMboe.
In 2013 exploration drilling led to the discovery of the TGAL area, close to the currently productive offshore Trintes Field.
The new study will combine its experience in marginal field development with the latest subsurface information to generate a concept that can be taken forward into conceptual engineering, front end engineering and project sanction.
Trinity has requested flexibility concerning reservoir outcomes and use of equipment that could be re-deployed elsewhere on the Galeota Block.
The study has commenced and should conclude in September.
