    SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Eni plans early production from last year’s deepwater Baleine discovery offshore Côte d’Ivoire at the end of 2023, the company revealed in its latest results statement.

    The phased fast-track development, defined with the local authorities, will also be Africa’s first net-zero emission project (Scope 1 and 2), the company claimed.

    Baleine, in block CI101, holds estimated in-place resources of around 2 Bbbl of oil and 2.4 tcf of associated gas.
