LONDONIndependent Oil and Gas has awarded ODE Asset Management the Duty Holder contract for its Phase 1 gas development in the UK southern North Sea.

This covers installation and pipeline operations, and facilities operations and maintenance (O&M).

ODE will work with IOG’s in-house team to delivering safe and cost-effective production from the Blythe and Southwark platforms, the Thames Pipeline to Bacton, and the associated subsea connector lines.

It will also provide O&M and integrated services for the onshore control room at the Bacton Gas Terminal, travel, training and crew for offshore activities, emergency response, warehousing and quayside support, and regulatory interface/compliance.

The contract is designed to incentivize maximized operating efficiencies, with a risk-reward formula for performance against pre-defined criteria.

ODE’s track record in the southern North Sea includes Duty Holder for the Tolmount gas platform on behalf of Humber Gathering System (the Kellas Midstream and Dana Petroleum joint venture); and installation and pipeline operator for NEO Energy’s Babbage gas field.

The company was appointed in early 2018 as operator of the Thames Pipeline in license PL37, and has since performed pre-operations services on a reimbursable basis.

ODE Group is also involved in engineering, procurement, construction and installation for the recommissioning of the Thames Reception Facilities at Bacton.
