STAVANGER, Norway – Equinor has contracted Kaefer Energy to provide insulation, scaffolding and surface treatment (ISO) services at the Johan Sverdrup platform complex in the Norwegian North Sea.

The award comes under an existing framework agreement and is valued at more than NOK700 million ($79.6 million).

Kaefer’s scope includes routine operations and maintenance and work associated with the current Phase 2 development.

Johan Sverdrup will remain onstream for several decades, and the ISO work will be essential to supporting the long-term production horizon,” said Kjetil Hove, Equinor’s senior vice president for operations technology on the Norwegian continental shelf.
