Noble reports that it has signed a contract with bp for the Noble Innovator to drill six firm wells for the Northern Endurance Partnership Project in the North Sea.

The contract is expected to commence in 3Q 2026 and contains an option for two additional wells. The Noble Innovator is an ultra-harsh environment jack-up rig, designed to operate in challenging conditions.

The Northern Endurance Partnership is a carbon storage project in the North Sea, with bp providing operatorship services. The Northern Endurance Partnership includes bp, Equinor, and TotalEnergies.

The Northern Endurance Partnership received a carbon storage permit from the North Sea Transition Authority in December 2024. The project is expected to reach a carbon storage capacity of 100 million tons with an annual injection rate of four million tons for 25 years.
