OSLO, Norway – Aker BP has permission from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to drill an appraisal well on the Hod field in the far south of the Norwegian North Sea.

Hod’s production is tied back to the Valhall field complex.

The jackupMaersk Interceptor is due to spud well 2/11-12 S this weekend in 71 m (233 ft) water depth – the program could last between 45 and 95 days.

Equinor Energy has authorization from the PSA to use the jackupMaersk Integrator for drilling two production wells on the Gina Krog in the Utsira High region of the North Sea, 30 km (18.6 mi) northwest of Sleipner A.

Gina Krog came onstream last year.

Operations on wells 15/6-B-9 and 15/6-B-19 should take a total of 101 days to complete.
