SHARJAH, UAE – Lamprell has a letter of intent from International Maritime Industries (IMI) in Saudi Arabia to construct two jackup drilling rigs.
IMI is a maritime joint venture in which Lamprell is a partner. Discussions continue on the specifications and contract terms.
The rigs will be built according to Schedule G requirements for operations in Saudi Arabian waters, with most of the fabrication work performed at Lamprell’s Hamriyah yard in the UAE.
Saudi content will account for around 15% of the work scope.
