Leiv Eiriksson to P&A two Barents Sea wells for Lundin

Lundin Norway’s latest exploration well in the southern Barents Sea was a dry hole.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Lundin Norway’s latest exploration well in the southern Barents Sea was a dry hole.

The semisubmersibleLeiv Eiriksson drilled well 7219/12-3S on the Hurri prospect in license PL533 in the southern Barents Sea.

It encountered good reservoir in the Stø formation (one of the pre-drill targets), but with no indications of hydrocarbons.

After completion of operations the rig will abandon last year’sFilicudi discovery well, also in PL533.
