Two Shelf jackups at work for Dubai Petroleum

DUBAI, UAE– Shelf Drilling has issued an update on its jackup drilling rig fleet.

In January, theShelf Drilling TenaciousandShelf Drilling Mentor began two-year contracts with Dubai Petroleum.

Offshore Egypt,Petrobel has extended the contract by six months for the Trident 16.

Off Nigeria, theTrident XIVbegan a one-year contract with ExxonMobil last month. The contract includes two one-year options.

In addition, theAdriatic I completed the Conoil contract in February. It is expected to start a contract for three firm wells plus one option well from an unnamed company in April. The rig also secured a 400-day contract with a different customer, which is expected to begin in October. Both contracts are in Nigeria.

Offshore India, theGalveston Key received an approximately 50-day contract extension through an option exercise by Shell. While the Trident XII and Harvey H. Ward commenced three-year contracts with ONGC in January 2018 and February 2018, respectively.

Last December, theKey Hawaii concluded the contract with Schlumberger off Bahrain. That same month, the Trident III concluded the contract with Chevron in Nigeria.

In January, theAdriatic X relocated from Cameroon to UAE.
