DUBAI, UAE – Dubai Petroleum has awarded Shelf Drilling two-year contracts for the jackups Shelf Drilling Tenacious and Shelf Drilling Mentor (ex-West Mischief).
Each contract includes two one-year options: operations should begin in January 2018.
In September, Shelf Drilling completed the acquisition of theWest Mischief, the last of three jackups formerly owned by Seadrill.
CEO David Mullen said: “Both rigs are ideally suited for Dubai Petroleum’s needs, and we are very excited to have secured our maiden contracts with a well-established operator.”
