Well-Safe Solutions has acquired Intervention Project Management.

ABERDEEN, UKWell-Safe Solutions, the newly formed multi-disciplinary well abandonment specialist, has acquired Intervention Project Management (IPM).

Phil Milton, IPM’s founder and managing director, has been appointed CEO at Well-Safe.

Formed in 2007, IPM provides engineering, project management and consultancy services to the global oil and gas industry, with a focus onwell intervention, including P&A, and production optimization.

Clients include CNR International, TAQA Brattani, Repsol-Sinopec, ConocoPhillips, Chevron,Halliburton, and Schlumberger.

Well-Safe aims to provide a one-stop-shop approach for offshore operators in decommissioning, handling all aspects of planning, logistics and execution though one contract.

It plans to acquire assets to perform well abandonments including a semisubmersible rig, jackup rig and lightweight intervention vessel, which will then be mobilized exclusively for P&A activity, providing certainty over availability and therefore long-term commitments for customers.
