ABERDEEN, UK --Dana Petroleum plans to drill three exploration and appraisal wells as operator in UK waters this year. These will target the Kerloch oil prospect in the northern North Sea, and the Monkwell and Colden Parva structures in the southern gas basin.

The company has secured a drilling slot for a heavy duty-jack-up in the southern sector in the second half of 2007, and is negotiating for rigs in the central and northern sectors.

Additionally, Dana expects to participate in four more North Sea wells this year, comprising two in the Antrim-operated Causeway region, with one each on Grouse in the Greater Kittiwake Area, and another on a recent discovery in Dutch block E18a.
