KCA Deutag, Wayzata Investment Partners LLC, and Marlin Offshore Marshall Island have formed a joint venture, Marlin Offshore International Ltd., which has agreed to purchase from Transocean Inc. four tender assist drilling rigs, the W.D. Kent, Charley Graves, Searex IX and Searex X.

BAD BENTHEIM, Germany -- KCA Deutag, Wayzata Investment Partners LLC, and Marlin Offshore Marshall Island have formed a joint venture, Marlin Offshore International Ltd., which has agreed to purchase from Transocean Inc. four tender assist drilling rigs, the W.D. Kent, Charley Graves, Searex IX and Searex X.
TheW.D. Kent transaction if complete and the other three rigs are expected to close by year-end. The Charley Graves and the Searex X are operating in Thailand and Angola, respectively.
KCA DEUTAG will manage the ongoing operation of the rigs as well as the planned activation and upgrade of the stacked rigs,W.D. Kent and Searex IX.
