Lundin gets nod for North Sea Grieg area well

OSLO, NorwayLundin Norway has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for exploration drilling in the Norwegian North Sea.

The semisubmersibleLeiv Eiriksson will spud well 16/1-31 S in license PL 338, 4 km (2.5 mi) northeast of the Edvard Grieg platform, after completing well 7121/1-2 S in the Barents Sea.

This will be the 11th exploration well on the current license, although others were drilled previously within the license area.
