    Lundin keeps Odfjell rig for further well offshore Norway

    Lundin Energy Norway has exercised a one-well option for the Odfjell Drilling semisubmersible Deepsea Stavanger.

    ABERDEEN, UK – Lundin Energy Norway has exercised a one-well option for the Odfjell Drilling semisubmersible Deepsea Stavanger on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).

    Drilling is expected to start in early January 2022 and will be completed prior to the start of the rig’s contract with Equinor on the NCS in 1Q 2022.

    In March 2021, Lundin awarded the Deepsea Stavanger a three-well contract with six optional wells.
