Lundin to drill North Sea appraisal well

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Lundin Norway AS a permit to drill an appraisal well in production license 338 using the semisub Songa Dee.

STAVANGER -- The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Lundin Norway AS a permit to drill an appraisal well in production license 338 using the semisub Songa Dee. The wellbore is about 25 km (16 mi) east of the 15/3-1 S Gudrun discovery in the central part of the North Sea.

Lundin operates the well with a 50% working interest. Partners are Wintershall and RWE-DEA with 30% and 20%, respectively.
