    Newbuild Aker Barents to drill Norwegian Sea wildcat wells

    The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Det norske oljeselskap a permit to drill wildcat wells in production license 321 in the Norwegian Sea using the newbuild semisub Aker Barents.

    STAVANGER -- The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Det norske oljeselskap a permit to drill wildcat wells in production license 321 in the Norwegian Sea using the newbuild semisub Aker Barents.

    The area in the production license consists of parts of blocks 6306/2, 6306/3, 6306/5, and parts of block 6306/6.
