WOKING, UK – Apache has spudded the Tryfan exploration well in the UK northern North Sea block 3/17.

According to partnerValiant Petroleum, Tryfan is an Eocene channelized sand play that exhibits a strong seismic amplitude response. Potential reserves could be 24 MMboe.

Drilling should take about 25 days to complete.
