CALGARY, CanadaIthaca Energy has updated drilling programs at its UK North Sea field developments.

The Fionn side track was completed last month, and modification works have also been completed at the host North Cormorant platform to allow start-up of electrical submersible pumps installed in the Causeway and Fionn production wells.

Further modifications are in progress to enable start-up of water injection on theCauseway, probably in August.

An infill production well has been completed on the Don Southwest field. Installation is expected to start soon of the subsea spool piece between the wellhead and the existing drill center manifold, followed by start-up of the well in August.

Late in August a drilling rig is scheduled to arrive at theAthena field for the P4 well workover.

A third development well on the Stella field (30/06a-B1X) has been drilled to a total MD subsea of 16,185 ft (4,933 m). A 2,147-ft (654-m) gross horizontal reservoir section was drilled in the Palaeocene Andrew sandstone reservoir, within the targeted oil rim. The well intersected good-quality sands across a net reservoir interval of 2,034 ft (620 m), equating to 95% net pay.

Following current operations to run the well completion assembly a flow test will be performed.
