CALGARY, Alberta –Sterling Resources has decided to test its Doina Sister well offshore Romania after contacting the main Doina reservoir at 1,139 m (3,737 ft). Logging indicated a 21.5-m (70.5 ft) net natural gas reservoir. Additional indications were recorded at 1,200 m (3,937 ft).
"The results from the Doina Sister well support Sterling's long-term belief in the Midia and Pelican blocks," says Stewart Gibson, CEO. "It is particularly pleasing, since taking over as operator a year ago, to be able to progress activity in a manner commensurate with the potential prospectivity of the area."
