BAKU, Azerbaijan -- BP has signed a new 12-month contract with AGR Drilling Services for the supply of AGR’s riser-less mud recovery system (RMR) for its Caspian Sea operations.
The equipment is designed to make top-hole drilling safer, quicker, and cleaner, AGR claims.
Since 2004, AGR has supplied the system to BP for use on 40 of its wells in the Caspian, down to a water depth of 525 m (1,722 ft).
AGR’s team in Baku will provide technical and offshore operational support for this contract, valued at around $18.8 million.
