The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement has confirmed that a fire occurred on the Hercules 265 jackup drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

NEW ORLEANS –The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement has confirmed that a fire occurred on the Hercules 265 jackup drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

The gas ignited late last night when nobody was aboard, and there were no injuries.
