Ocean General completes drillstem tests on Vietnam appraisal well

    In Vietnam block 07/03, the Ocean General semisubmersible drilling rig has completed drillstem tests for Pan Pacific Petroleum (Vietnam) Pty. Ltd. and its partners in the block, involving three key Miocene reservoir sands encountered in the CRD-3X appraisal well.

    SYDNEY, Australia – In Vietnam block 07/03, the Ocean General semisubmersible drilling rig has completed drillstem tests for Pan Pacific Petroleum (Vietnam) Pty. Ltd. and its partners in the block, involving three key Miocene reservoir sands encountered in the CRD-3X appraisal well.

    The well is being side tracked to test a structure within the Cá Rồng Đỏ (CRD) oil and gas/condensate discovery to the south of CRD-3X to evaluate the potential for additional net pay within the Miocene reservoirs.
