Global investments by region
Rystad Energy reports that in terms of the geographical split, 2018 E&P investments are expected to decrease in South America, Africa, and Australia. South America and Africa will only see small adjustments, while Australian E&P investments are expected to fall by ~40%, largely due to the completion of major LNG projects. Meanwhile, Russia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East are expected to see investment in E&P grow ~5% in 2018.
