STAVANGER, Norway — OMV (Norge) has awarded Baker Hughes a four-year frame agreement to provide integrated well construction and completion (IWCC) services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The contract for IWCC services, tendered with Wintershall Dea, started on Feb. 1, 2023, and covers a combined scope of about 20 anticipated wells, all to be drilled by the semisub Transocean Norge.
OMV’s plans include three production wells on the Berling Field (ex-Iris/Hades) development in the Norwegian Sea Haltenbanken region, the Velocette exploration well this summer and potentially four further exploration wells.
“With this long-term IWCC agreement, we have access to high-quality drilling contractors and will deliver new wells to the Berling Field development and fulfil our exploration strategy in the coming years”, said OMV (Norge) general manager Knut Mauseth.
