    Valaris floater to drill for Murphy in the US Gulf, offshore Mexico

    Offshore staff

    HAMILTON, Bermuda – Valaris Ltd. has received two one-well contracts from subsidiaries of Murphy Oil Corp. for the semisubmersible VALARIS DPS-5.

    The first contract is in the US Gulf of Mexico and is expected to start in 3Q 2022 with a minimum duration of 30 days. This contract has a one-well option with an estimated duration of 90 days.

    The second contract, offshore Mexico, will begin in direct continuation of the first contract. The estimated duration is 60 days.
