ABERDEEN, UKArdyne has won a four-year contract to provide fishing services for 86 wells as part of a P&A campaign for two fields in the UK northern North Sea.

The work involves deployment of the company’s Trident and Titan technologies, and follows a recent investment in what the company claims are the industry’s first fully traceable (NS-1) fishing and milling tools.

Trident is a single-trip casing cutting and pulling system, designed to save rig time, precision, and added functionality which has been run successfully more than 140 times.

Titan, which supplies power downhole, is said to allow repeatable casing cutting and jacking capability in a single trip, and has been deployed more than 1,200 times worldwide.

Ardyne claims the bottomhole assembly technologies could save more than 40 days of rig time across the two platforms, avoiding the need for more than 300 extra downhole trips.
