As of July 21, the company’s total backlog is about $7.3 billion.

Hess has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Discoverer Inspiration a nine-well contract in the US Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to run from September 2021 to April 2022. The day rate is $215,000.

BHP has exercised a one-well option for the ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Invictus in the US Gulf of Mexico. The contract is expected to run from August 2021 to January 2022. The day rate is $260,000.

TotalEnergies has exercised a 370-day option for the ultra-deepwater drillship Deepwater Skyros offshore Angola. The contract is expected to run from December 2021 to December 2022. The day rate is $195,000.

Brunei Shell Petroleum has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Dhirubhai Deepwater KG2 a one-well contract, plus two one-well options. The contract is expected to start in December 2021. The day rate is $190,000.

Petrobras has awarded the ultra-deepwater drillship Petrobras 10000 a two-year contract offshore Brazil. The contract is expected to run from October 2021 to October 2023. From October 2021 to March 2022, the day rate is $322,000. From March 2022 to March 2023, the day rate is $328,000. From March 2023 to October 2023, the day rate is $334,000.

POSCO has exercised two one-well options for the ultra-deepwater semisubmersible Deepwater Nautilus. The day rate is $135,000. The location was not disclosed. The rig also received a one-well contract from an undisclosed company. The location was not disclosed, but the day rate is $145,000. The contract is expected to run from February 2022 to March 2022.

ConocoPhillips has awarded the harsh-environment semi Transocean Norge a four-well contract, plus five one-well options offshore Norway. The contract is expected to last from March 2022 to September 2022. The day rate is $280,000.

Shell has awarded the harsh-environment semi Transocean Barents a two-well contract offshore Norway. The contract is expected to run from February 2022 to August 2022. The day rate is $302,000. MOL Norge terminated the rig’s contract for convenience in Norway.

Equinor has exercised two one-well options for the harsh-environment semi Transocean Spitsbergen offshore Norway. The day rate is $290,000.

Also, the Deepwater Mykonos is expected to be out of service for 31 days in 3Q 2021. The ultra-deepwater drillship is under contract with Petrobras offshore Brazil.

The Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1 is expected to be out of service for 29 days in 4Q 2021. The ultra-deepwater drillship is under contract with Reliance offshore India.
