LYNGBY, Denmark – Equinor has exercised an option to add well intervention work to the jackup Maersk Intrepid’s program at the Martin Linge field development in the Norwegian North Sea.

The added scope should take around 29 days to complete, with a firm value to operator Maersk Drilling of around $9.9 million.

It falls under the master framework agreement between the two companies, with the contract including a performance bonus scheme that rewards reductions in CO2 and NOx emissions.

The Maersk Intrepid is an ultra-harsh environment CJ70 jackup which underwent hybrid, low-emission upgrades.
