HOUSTON – Apache Corp. has filed appraisal plans for its Maka and Sapakara oil discoveries in block 58 offshore Suriname.

A further submission should follow by year-end for Kwaskwasi, the largest find on the block to date, the company said in its latest results statement.

Operations continue on the fourth exploration target, Keskesi, and the company plans to drill a fifth prospect, Bonboni, in the North-Central portion of the concession.

Partner Total is in the process of assuming operatorship of the block ahead of next year’s campaigns.
