Neptune to drill two North Sea wildcats

Neptune Energy has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill two exploration wells in the North Sea, 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of the Snorre field.

OSLO, NorwayNeptune Energy has permission from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill two exploration wells in the North Sea, 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of the Snorre field.

The semisubmersible Deepsea Yantai will drill wells 34/4-15 S and 34/4-15 A in license 882, after completing work on production wells for the Duva field development.

Other partners in the license are Concedo, Petrolia NOCO, and Idemitsu Petroleum Norge.

These will be the first wells on the license, which was awarded in February 2017.
