LONDONRockRose Energy plc says the first of two new infill development wells has been completed at the West Brae platform in the UK central North Sea.

The jackup Noble Houston Colbert rig spudded the second well yesterday, and this is expected to come onstream during 2Q. Both the WPGZ and WPOZ wells will access more than 3 MMbbl of net 2P reserves.

Over the course of the year RockRose plans to participate in a total of seven wells on its North Sea fields which should boost the company’s net production by more than 8,500 boe/d.
