HOUSTON – Northern Offshore Drilling Operations Ltd. has received a firm letter of award for the high-specification jackup drilling rig Energy Emerger for work offshore Abu Dhabi.

The term of the award is for four years. The rig will drill high-pressure/high-temperature wells. Operations are expected to start during 1Q 2020.

The Energy Emerger is a GustoMSC CJ46-X100-D jackup that was delivered in December 2017.

It is currently warm stacked at the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard in China.
