OSLO, Norway – Aker BP has approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority to drill an exploration well in production license 869.
Odfjell Drilling’s semisubmersible Deepsea Nordkapp will shortly spud well 24/9-13 in 117.5 m (385 ft) water depth, close to the Bøyla and Alvheim fields.
Drilling should take 21 days to complete.
