Petrobras has contracted Constellation Oil Services Holding for P&A of shallow-water wells in the Sergipe, Alagoas, Ceará and Potiguar basins offshore Brazil.

Constellation will use the jackup Admarine 511 for the campaign, owned by the company’s commercial partner ADES Holding Co.

The $170 million contract terms include mobilizing the rig from its current location in Bahrain to Brazil, where it will operate for a firm execution period of 1,143 days, with an option to extend by up to 472 days.

At present, the rig is undergoing class inspection and other adjustments to comply with Brazilian regulations.

Admarine 511, a three-legged MSC CJ46-X100D-design cantilever jackup, is capable of operating in water depths up to 375 ft (114 m). The staged program will start with P&A of various wells connected to fixed platforms.
