Promethean leading DeepStar decommissioning study

HOUSTONThe DeepStar consortium has commissioned Promethean Energy to identify emerging technologies that could support the oil and gas decommissioning markets in the Gulf of Mexico, UK Continental Shelf and elsewhere.

DeepStar is a joint industry technology development program administered by Chevron, with nine other core members and support from various offshore operators, technology vendors and partners. 

Promethean is a mature asset operations specialist focused on final stewardship of offshore oil and gas assets, from continued production through decommissioning.

The company is inviting members of the multi-national Decom Mission trade association that develop, provide, use or are seeking innovative technologies to contribute to its work for the project.

The project will provide an opportunity to showcase technical solutions, case studies and benefits achieved, or to highlight technology gaps.

Promethean will deliver its final report and presentations to DeepStar members and all project participants.
